An update has emerged on Sampdoria forward Mikkel Damsgaard, regarding Aston Villa’s potential bid for his services.

What’s the talk?

According to ClubDoria46, via Sport Witness, Aston Villa chief Johan Lange is preparing a bid for Sampdoria wide man Mikkel Damsgaard this month.

The report claims that the Villans are almost ready to submit their offer, which is believed to be around £30m (€35m). It remains to be seen, however, if this is enough to tempt the Serie A side into parting ways with the forward.

Excitement

Damsgaard is a player who would be able to bring excitement to Villa Park and get fans off their seats during games next season. He is a direct winger, capable of making things happen in the final third, which could be exactly what Dean Smith needs given recent speculation over their star player.

Jack Grealish is reportedly closing in on a £100m transfer to Manchester City and his departure would leave a gaping hole in the squad, which Damsgaard could help to fill.

Alongside the signings of Emi Buendia and Leon Bailey, the Denmark international could use his skills to partly replace the influence Grealish has on Villa’s team.

Earlier this year, Danish football expert Martin Mikkelsen lauded the attacker as “magical” and hailed the dynamism in his play.

He told TV2 Sport: “It’s the season’s assist. Isn’t that where we are? He’s magical – what a speed! It is fantastic improvisation, and he just finds Balde in the field, as they both know what is going to happen.

“It is a free space he has, as he is not so locked. He is dynamic and can go both ways. He is creative but also so mature in his decisions. Was it something we dreamed of? It’s awesome.”

He has been sensational for his country in 2021. In his last six appearances for Denmark, the 21-year-0ld has four goals and three assists – averaging a WhoScored rating of 7.28 in five games in the European Championships this summer.

The magician averaged 1.8 shots, 1.2 key passes and 1.8 dribbles completed per game at the tournament. This shows that he is active at the top end of the pitch and able to make things happen, whether that be by creating chances for himself or for others.

This means that he will be able to excite fans with his attacking genius if he arrives at Villa Park this summer for £30m. The supporters would enjoy watching him make things happen from out wide or through the middle, even if the loss of Grealish is a bitter pill to swallow.

The series is due to begin from June 8.Asif was originally selected in the squad on Sunday, the very day he was detained at Dubai airport for suspected possession of an illegal item. It is unlikely now that Asif will be back in time to play in the tournament. Selectors told Cricinfo that they were not aware of Asif’s situation when they picked the squad.Khan has had an impressive first-class season, picking up a Pakistan record 91 wickets in his debut year and he has impressed many with his pace and stamina. He was rewarded for his efforts with an international call-up against Zimbabwe earlier this year in an ODI series. In three ODIs so far, he has picked up four wickets, with a best of 3 for 30 against Bangladesh.He wasn’t part of the original squad because selectors felt that Wahab Riaz’s left-arm provided a more seasoned limited-overs option. Khan spent a week at a fast bowlers’ camp in Lahore under the eye of Wasim Akram, where it was widely felt that despite his undoubted promise, there were still areas he needed to work on. Outside of his bowling, his poor fielding is considered a serious concern within the selection committee. The Pakistan squad leaves for Dhaka on June 5.

وقالت القاضية في أمرها المكون من 42 صفحة إن رفض القضية مباشرة دون خيار رفعها مرة أخرى يعد عقوبة شديدة، لكن رونالدو قد تضرر من سلوك محامية المرأة، ليزلي مارك ستوفال.

وقال رونالدو في بيان صدر في أكتوبر 2018: “أنكر بشدة الاتهامات الموجهة لي، الاغتصاب جريمة بشعة تتعارض مع كل ما أنا عليه وأؤمن به”.

صرح فريقه القانوني أن اللقاء الجنسي كان بالتراضي وأن اتفاقية السرية تمنع كلاً من فريقه والمرأة من التحدث عنها.

هذا، يمكن للفريق القانوني للمرأة الطعن في القرار الخاص بالمحكمة الذي صدر اليوم السبت.

Ex-Rangers star Michael Ball believes that the Glasgow giants are favourites to sign Joey Veerman from Heerenveen.

There has been plenty of speculation surrounding Veerman and his future with current side Heerenveen this summer, with the Scottish Sun reporting on Monday that Rangers have been given a massive boost in their pursuit of the player. Another interested party, Feyenoord, have signed Fredrik Aursnes from Molde, which could see them out of the race for Veerman.

The 22-year-old was involved in 20 goals combined last season, scoring nine and assisting 11 which has seen interest in his signature.

Former Ger Ball believes that Rangers are favourites to sign Veerman, telling Football FanCast: “Yeah, there’s been a lot of noise about Joey and I think maybe one or two other clubs are sort of sneaking around, but Rangers seem to be the favourites.”

According to the Scottish Sun report, Heerenveen have set an asking price of £8m for Veerman and with three years left on his current deal the Eredivisie outfit don’t have to rush to sell their star player.

Whilst Rangers appear to be in pole position to sign Veerman should they wish to with Feyenoord possibly out the equation, it could be more good news for the Gers, as Glen Kamara could be set to extend his stay at Ibrox, with the club offering the midfielder a new deal.

On the new contract offer for Kamara, manager Steven Gerrard told the BBC: “I love the kid, I love the player and I’ve made it abundantly clear how much I want him to stay from a personal point of view.”

Frank McAvennie has been left hailing the news that Newcastle United have agreed a deal to sign Joe Willock on a permanent deal.

As per The Athletic, the St. James’ Park faithful have agreed a deal to sign Willock permanently from Arsenal for a reported £20m following his loan spell in the North East in the 2020/21 season.

The Verdict: Great news

It is certainly great news that the Toon look to have captured the signature of Willock after such a successful loan spell.

The Englishman scored no fewer than eight goals from midfield in 14 matches in the Premier League last term at NUFC (Transfermarkt), and was vital in helping Steve Bruce and co climb away from the relegation zone.

Nonetheless, he already knows his new teammates and Bruce well and so would need no time to gel in, meaning that he can come out all guns blazing against the Hammers, should the deal be done in time.

أعلن نادي بيرنلي تعيين البلجيكي فينسنت كومباني، مديرًا فنيًا للفريق الأول، ليقود الفريق الهابط إلى دوري الدرجة الاولى الإنجليزي في الموسم الجديد.

وكان بيرنلي قد أنهى الموسم الماضي بالدوري الإنجليزي بالمرتبة الثامنة عشر، بعد أن حصد 35 نقطة، ليهبط لدوري الدرجة الأولى التشامبيون شيب، ويهدف النادي العودة إلى البريميرليج من جديد.

وقال بيرنلي في بيانه: “يُسر نادي بيرنلي الإعلان عن تعيين فينسنت كومباني مديرًا فنيًا للفريق الأول لكرة القدم”.

ولم يوضح بيان النادي الإنجليزي، مدة العقد ولكن تقارير صحفية ذكرت أن كومباني وقع عقدًا مدته 3 سنوات حتى 2025.
