O Atlético-PR anunciou no fim da tarde desta segunda-feira, através do seu site oficial, a contratação do atacante André Lima, de 30 anos, que defendeu o Avaí na última temporada. O contrato será de uma temporada, com possibilidade de renovação por mais uma. É a segunda contratação do Furacão para 2016, após o acerto com o apoiador Vinícius, do Fluminense.

Segundo o site oficial do Furacão, André Lima será submetido a exames médicos no dia da reapresentação do elenco atleticano, em 5 de janeiro, no CT Alfredo Gottardi. Ele foi, com dez gols, o artilheiro do Avaí no último Brasileirão.

O novo reforço atleticano quase foi contratado pelo Coritiba antes de acertar com o Avaí. Ele chegou a treinar no CT da Graciosa, mas o acerto não ocorreu por conta do litígio judicial do atacante com o Beijing Guoan, da China, seu então ex-clube.

وتحدث رايت في حواره مع البرنامج الإذاعي البريطاني مع صديقه وحارس مرمى آرسنال السابق، ديفيد سيمان، عن الفرعون المصري، وقال: “بالنسبة لي، لا يمكنك أن تنظر للاعب أبعد وأفضل من محمد صلاح”.

وتابع: “مو أفضل لاعب في العالم الآن، بالنسبة لي، فهو رائع ويقدم مستوى مميزاً منذ أن عاد إلى إنجلترا مع ليفربول، كل شيء يلمسه يتحول إلى ذهب”.

What’s the word?

The versatile ace has spent his entire playing career thus far in his home country of Mexico, establishing himself at Deportivo Guadalajara, before making the move to Cruz Azul.

Now, 90min claim that Pineda is ready to make the move into European football, and that a host of Premier League scouts are keeping an eye on him ahead of a potential move.

The report claims that along with Arsenal, the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle, among others, are all following the Mexico international.

Shades of Cazorla

At just 5 foot 5, and with the ability to play all across midfield and further forward, there’s a lot to be said about Arsenal potentially finding their long-awaited Santi Cazorla replacement in Pineda.

In a “Ones to Watch” article on ESPN, Mexico correspondent, Tom Marshall, wrote: “Technically sharp, skillful and with a turn of pace to burst past opponents, he has an appetite for big games. He appears as relaxed in front of 80,000 people at the Estadio Azteca as he would be back in Guerrero having a kick around with his friends. The fact he has already taken on and succeeded following the crucial move to Chivas — a big club even by European standards — also bodes well.”

The fact that Spurs are also interested in him, gives Arsenal the perfect opportunity to strike a major blow to Jose Mourinho by pipping their rivals to one of their transfer targets.

As well as landing a creative midfielder, they would be ensuring Spurs don’t get him either. Two for the price of one.

Jose Mourinho might well rue Daniel Levy’s blunderous decision to allow Jan Vertonghen to quit Tottenham Hotspur this summer after the Belgian upstaged Toby Alderweireld in his country’s victory over England in the UEFA Nations League.

Vertonghen departed north London after the expiration of his £100,000-per-week Tottenham contract this summer, ending an eight-year stint with the club before joining Liga NOS giants SL Benfica as a free agent.

He was signed by Andre Villas-Boas early into the former Chelsea coach’s tenure as Spurs boss and he went on to accumulate 315 career games under the tutelage of Villas-Boas, Tim Sherwood, Mauricio Pochettino and lastly Mourinho.

Mourinho had nothing but praise for the 33-year-old after he played his final game in the Premier League, saying Jorge Jesus was acquiring a terrific centre-half who helped Spurs to the 2018/19 Champions League Final.

“He will be a great man to play in the Portuguese League. A big professional, a silent leader, an example in a workgroup. Fortunately, I’ve met many throughout my career but Jan is certainly among the best,” Mourinho told Record, via quotes by Sport Witness.

“As a player, everyone knows him and the Benfica coach, as well as his structure, certainly analysed everything he can bring to the team. I wish him to be very happy in my country. At Spurs, we’ll all be behind a person who is very dear to us.”

Mourinho’s admiration for Vertonghen was matched only by the defender’s admiration for Tottenham, the coaching staff and supporters, having posted an emotional farewell message on Twitter when confirming his exit in July.

“So, my time at the club comes to an end. A sad day for many reasons. I will miss the friends I’ve made here, the staff that make the club run, playing at the amazing new stadium & of course you fans.

“Thank you for all the support over the years. You’ve been amazing. We had many unbelievable memories but for now, it’s goodbye.”

Mourinho may well be wishing he never parted ways with Vertonghen, after witnessing the 6 ft 2 enforcer upstage Alderweireld against England as Belgium won their UEFA Nations League meeting 2-0.

Upstaged Alderweireld

Like Vertonghen, Alderweireld was set to be out of contract this summer but penned a new £110k-p/w deal last December to commit his future to Spurs through to 2023, yet, he has found his place in the starting line-up far from secure this season.

Mourinho has called on the former Southampton star to start just five Premier League fixtures and one of the north London side’s Europa League Group Stage ties, with Eric Dier enjoying the most top-flight minutes (630) at centre-half under the Portuguese to date.

Davison Sanchez, despite playing 90 fewer minutes than Alderweireld, also has more successful tackles (9) to his name than the Belgian (7) in league games, who ranks last among the trio for interceptions (1), aerial duels won (10) and second for clearances (22) as well, per WhoScored.

Alderweireld had the chance to show Mourinho was not wrong when allowing Vertonghen to leave and retain his services against England, but he failed to impress as the Benfica man stepped up to keep the Three Lions at bay and the Red Devils top of Group A2.

Vertonghen and Alderweireld both registered two clearances, one blocked shot and one interception at home to the Three Lions, but it was the former Spurs star who recorded more touches (89 to 60), more accurate passes (60 to 42), completed more dribbles (1 to 0), won more ground duels (3 to 2) and aerial duels (1 to 0), per SofaScore.

Alderweireld also committed three fouls, whereas Vertonghen kept his powder dry on route to a 100% duel success rate that Mourinho would surely love to have from his players this season.

Jesus has called on Vertonghen to start all six of his Liga NOS appearances to date, in which he’s helped to keep three clean sheets with 6.0 duels won, 2.2 clearances and he has been dribbled past just 0.2 times a game.

Everton began the season in fine fashion following the arrivals of Rodriguez, Allan and Doucoure with four straight wins, including an opening day victory over Tottenham Hotspur, while a draw at Liverpool instilled confidence in Ancelotti that the Blues “can compete” with the best.

But the Goodison Park natives remain heavily linked with potential January signings, with Juventus’ Sami Khedira, Real Madrid’s Isco, SSC Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik and Brentford’s Ivan Toney among those touted for a future on Merseyside.

Yet Palmer would be surprised if Moshiri provides any further funds in January, telling Football FanCast: “I don’t think Ancelotti will be allowed to sign any more players. He’s spent a huge amount of money.

“So, if I’m the chairman, Ancelotti has obviously had his wish list and I think the chairman’s backed him 110%. And if I was the chairman, I’d be saying: ‘right, now you have to deliver. You’re talking about Europe, you’re talking about winning a trophy. I’ve given you all the players that you’ve wanted, and I’ve spent an awful lot of money’.

“I’ll be very surprised if he’s allowed to bring in another player in January, very surprised, without getting somebody out.”

Everton spent £21m on Allan, £20m on Doucoure and £20m on Godfrey while awarding Rodriguez a £90,000-per-week contract – in a deal said to have been free – already this year.

Moshiri has greenlit a vast array of expensive captures since his arrival at Goodison Park, with former head coach Ronald Koeman signing Gylfi Sigurdsson for a then-club-record £45m, Sam Allardyce spending £27m on Cenk Tosun and Marco Silva landing Richarlison in a £50m deal.

Silva followed up Richarlison’s arrival with the £34m addition of Alex Iwobi a year later, while handing Fabian Delph an £80,000-per-week contract after joining from Manchester City for £10m.

Moshiri would be well within his rights to ask Ancelotti to work with the weapons already in his arsenal, unless Everton Director of Football Marcel Brands can get value for those no longer needed.

وقالت الصحيفة في تقرير لها عن عناق كلوب لـ هارفي: “مدرب ليفربول يورجن كلوب من أشد المعجبين بإليوت ومن الواضح أن الألماني سعيد برؤية الشاب يعود على العشب وهو يكثف تعافيه”.

وأضافت: “في تدريب ليفربول يوم الثلاثاء، شوهد كلوب وهو يذهب إلى إليوت ومنحه عناقًا”.
