أعلن الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم، عن الملعب الذي سيستضيف مباراة مانشستر سيتي وبوروسيا مونشنجلادباخ في دوري أبطال أوروبا.

وسيلتقي الفريقان في إطار منافسات دور الـ16 من البطولة الأوروبية.

وكان من المقرر أن يلتقي الفريقان في مباراة الذهاب في معقل الفريق الألماني يوم 24 فبراير الجاري.

وتفرض ألمانيا قيودًا مشددة على الرحلات الجوية حيث تمنع وصول المسافرين من بلدان محددة لمقاومة انتشار السلالة الجديدة من فيروس كورونا، ومن ضمنهم إنجلترا.

واتخذ الاتحاد الأوروبي، يويفا، قرارًا حول ماهية الملعب الذي سيستضيف مباراة الذهاب بين مانشستر سيتي ومونشنجلادباخ.

وأوضحت أن المباراة المذكورة ستُقام في ملعب بوشكاش أرينا، في بودابست العاصمة المجرية.

It would be fair to assume that Aaron Wan-Bissaka will start the 2019-20 campaign as Manchester United’s first-choice right-back when considering how much he cost.

Wan-Bissaka has been in impressive form for the club during pre-season, but Diogo Dalot will also be hoping to continue his development in the 2019-20 campaign.

The 20-year-old made 25 first-team appearances for the Red Devils last term, including 16 in the Premier League and four in the Champions League.

Although largely considered to be a right-back, Dalot has played left-back, left midfield and right midfield since arriving at Old Trafford.

Dalot might have to be a utility player once again in the coming season as Wan-Bissaka will surely keep hold of the right-back spot providing he is fit.

The United fans are expecting big things from the young Portuguese, though, with many taking to social media to lavish praise on him.

أكد عبد الواحد السيد حارس مرمى الزمالك السابق، أنه لم يفضل خوض مجال العمل في تدريب حراس المرمى عقب اعتزاله، مُشيرا إلى أنه يرى نفسه في العمل الإداري، ولذلك أعلن ترشحه لخوض انتخابات القلعة البيضاء المقبلة على مقعد العضوية.

وقال عبد الواحد السيد خلال لقاء عبر شاشة “أون تايم سبورت”: “بعد الاعتزال رأيت أنني لا أحب أن أعمل في مجال تدريب حراس المرمى، واتجهت إلى استكمال دراستي في الإعلام، وأحب الإدارة والناحية الإعلامية أكثر، وفي خلال الفترة المقبلة سأخوض الانتخابات على عضوية مجلس إدارة نادي الزمالك من أجل رد بعض جمايل القلعة البيضاء عليّ”.

وتابع: “حصولي على أكبر عدد من البطولات في الزمالك وأكثر لاعب شارك مع الفارس الأبيض، يجعلني أشعر بالفخر والاعتزاز بانتمائي للقلعة البيضاء”.

وأضاف: “أنا أجبرت على الرحيل من الزمالك، كان يتبقى لي في عقدي موسم آخر، وكان من الممكن أن تكون سنة تكريمية لي ولكن فوجئت بقرار استبعادي، وهذا ما جعلني أفكر في استكمال مسيرتي في فريق آخر، ولكني لم أستطع أن أواجه الزمالك في مباراة وقررت الاعتزال”.

وكان عبد الواحد قد أعلن اعتزاله كرة القدم عام 2015 بعد موسم واحد قضاه في مصر للمقاصة، ومن قبله 17 موسمًا داخل أروقة نادي الزمالك، منذ عام 1997 وحتى 2014، حصد خلالها على 3 بطولات دوري وواحدة أبطال إفريقيا و5 كؤوس محلية.

Celtic are looking to bring in Rico Henry should Kieran Tierney depart for Arsenal, according to The Scottish Sun.

What’s the story?

Brentford left-back Henry has been earmarked as a potential signing by Neil Lennon should he lose Tierney to Arsenal this summer, per the report. With the English window closing on Thursday we will soon know if the Scot will be a Celtic player for the coming season.

The Bees defender would cost a sum of £7m, according to the report, in what would be a significant outlay for the Celts, even if they do get the £25m that they expect for the services of Tierney.

Celtic have one recognised left-back at the club in Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo, who himself has only just arrived this summer in a £3m transfer from Austrian side Rapid Vienna.

A big gamble

At £7m Henry would be a massive outlay for the club. The Bhoys have brought in Christopher Jullien this summer already and even with a potential windfall through the sale of Tierney, it would be unusual to see such large sums spent by the club in one window – they have not eclipsed £15m of spending in a single window in over a decade.

Whenever the Hoops have spent these sort of sums in the past it has tended to be on central players who will improve the spine of the team, with spending much more reserved for those on the periphery of the game. It would be unusual to see such an outlay on a left-back, but given the swollen fees in football, it wouldn’t be completely staggering.

If he were to be brought in for a fee as big as £7m you’d have to assume he’d want to become one of the top earners at the club. This wouldn’t be ridiculous fur such a big transfer but with a new multi-million-pound left-back already at the club, it would be strange to invest even more wages (and a big fee) into another left-sided defender.

In Bolingoli-Mbombo, Celtic have an expensive acquisition who will expect to play a prominent role, especially if Tierney finds pastures new. The 24 year-old has also made a good impression on his new fans early on.

It would be wise for Lennon to look elsewhere if Tierney goes, perhaps at an experienced free agent who can support Bolingoli-Mbombo, because at £7m, Henry requires a massive outlay for someone that wouldn’t even be a guaranteed first-choice in the position.

وكان فرج عامر قد كشف عبر صفحته بموقع التواصل الاجتماعي “فيس بوك”، أن اتحاد الكرة طلب سداد 3 ملايين جنيه قيمة المسحات، بدون أي اتفاق مسبق مع النادي طالع التفاصيل من هنا.

وقال عامر خلال تصريحات لبرنامج “البريمو” عبر قناة “تن”: “اتحاد الكرة أبلغنا أنه يجب دفع تكلفة المسحات خلال أسبوعين”.

وأضاف: “عمرو الجنايني رئيس اللجنة الخماسية التي كانت تدير اتحاد الكرة قال لنا إن اتحاد الكرة سيتحمل تكلفة المسحات الطبية الخاصة بكورونا”.

وتابع: “الإيرادات منخفضة جدًا في ظل ظروف كورونا، والشركة الراعية لا تدفع أموال، ونحن في دوري هواة ولا يوجد جوائز مالية من قبل اتحاد الكرة”.

وأكمل: “هذه عملية تعجيزية للأندية، ذُهلت من هذا الموضوع الذي يحملنا ما لا طاقة لنا به، أحمد مجاهد رئيس اللجنة الثلاثية التي تدير اتحاد الكرة تواصل معي ولكن لم أرد عليه، ولكن سأتواصل معه”.

وأردف: “لم يتم دعوتنا لاجتماع بشأن تحملنا تكلفة المسحات الطبية لكورونا، ولم يُأخذ رأينا في هذا الأمر”.

The opening fixture of the new 2019/20 Premier League season has not really been kind to everyone in the English top-flight.

One team in particular that suffered a great loss was Chelsea.

Frank Lampard’s big Premier League debut was a devastating 4-0 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford and it certainly left them with a sour taste in their mouths.

But despite that seeming like a rather cruel day for the boys from London, Paul Pogba took to Instagram to show everyone what football is all about.

The Frenchman shared a brilliant snap with Chelsea’s own star, Christian Pulisic, and he captioned it as “This is why we play”.

The photo depicted both players as they walked off the pitch together, looking more like friends than rivals and in a way breaching that gap and showing us all that, at the end of the day, this is just a game.

It was definitely a great gesture by the French Red Devil.

Everton opened their 2019-20 Premier League campaign with a goalless draw against Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.

All things considered, it was not a bad result for either side. However, both teams might see it as an opportunity missed at this stage of the campaign.

As expected, the Everton fans were fairly vocal on social media after the match, and Gylfi Sigurdsson has taken a lot of criticism for his performance.

The 29-year-old played 79 minutes of the game before being replaced by Tom Davies after Morgan Schneiderlin picked up a red card following a second bookable offence.

Sigurdsson scored 13 Premier League goals for Marco Silva’s side during the 2018-19 campaign but found it difficult to contribute on Saturday afternoon.

And the Toffees supporters were out in their numbers to criticise the Iceland international for his lacklustre performance on the opening weekend.

With two games of the Premier League season already gone, Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has been adopting a 3-5-2 formation, but with little success.

The fixtures against Burnley and Liverpool have both resulted in losses – 3-0 to the Clarets and 2-1 to the Reds – with just one goal scored and five conceded. Humorously, the one goal scored was courtesy of Adrian kicking the ball against Danny Ings.

What’s gone wrong?

In just two fixtures, some sections of the Saints supporters haven’t been happy with two centre-backs in Jack Stephens and Jannik Vestergaard, who were poor against Burnley and Liverpool respectively.

That suggests that the centre-back department contains some of the club’s weakest performers, which Hasenhuttl seems to be trying to address by playing as many of them as possible to overcompensate – it isn’t having the desired effect.

To ensure he can have three centre-backs in his side, the Austrian has been using Yan Valery and Ryan Bertrand as wing-backs, although their ineffectiveness coupled with the centre-backs’ failings suggest this is something that must stop.

How are Bertrand and Valery doing?

You would expect your two wing-backs to cause problems going forward, but the pair haven’t done that in their two games so far.

Against Sean Dyche’s side, Bertrand made no key passes, had two unsuccessful touches and delivered just one accurate cross, whilst Valery also delivered just one accurate cross but was dispossessed four times and had three unsuccessful touches – the fact that Burnley left-back Erik Pieters also grabbed two assists suggests Valery wasn’t too good defensively, either.

Against Liverpool, the former Chelsea left-back again made no key passes, embarked on zero dribbles and didn’t deliver a single accurate cross. Again, Valery also wasn’t influential having made one accurate cross as well as being caught in possession three times.

Hasenhuttl might as well just restore the pair as normal full-backs in a four-man backline and put another body upfront or in midfield, as they aren’t proving to be effective as wing-backs whilst the extra centre-back isn’t helping the Saints become more solid either.

وأضاف: “كنا أقرب للفوز، نريد أن نلعب كرة قدم، وكل دقيقة كانت شهد سقوط لاعب واعتراضات من خارج الملعب”.

وأردف: “خسرنا اليوم نقطتين وأشكر اللاعبين على الأداء لكن لم يحالفنا التوفيق، ولولا ذلك كنا قد أحرزنا ركلة الجزاء الأخيرة”.

وفي السياق ذاته، تحدث أحمد سامي المدير الفني لفريق سموحة، مؤكدًا أن فريقه أضاع العديد من الأهداف في الشوط الأول.

وقال سامي في تصريحات تلفزيونية بفضائية “أون تايم سبورتس”: “لن أعلق على أداء التحكيم، ولكن سأتحدث فنيًا، أهدرنا 4 انفرادات في الشوط الأول وأضعنا الفوز”.

واختتم: “المصري فريق كبير، الشوط الثاني كان الاستحواذ لهم، ولكن في إجمالي المباراة كنا الأفضل”.
